COMMENTS:
For this project I was asked to be the lead character animator. I used Character Studio to set up and animate about 200 motion cycles for the main charcter in all of the various poses. I also directed the animation of the supporting characters.
In addition to creating motion cycles, I also modeled the trees and foliage in the environment. Each tree uses less than 40 polygons and only an 128x128 texture map.
I also used the animated texture feature of our 3D engine to create animated environmental effects. I made steam rise out of a vent in the street using an animated series of maps with alpha channels. Similar effects included a trash can with fire burning in it, volumetric fog light cones, flashing lights, and a fountain.
